People In Crisis United is a nonprofit organization put together by the medical staff at Holtz Children’s Hospital. It is our mission to make the lives on the kids and families being treated at Holtz as comfortable as possible.

We strive to meet the nonmedical holistic and palliative needs of the kids and families and strive to bring some sort of normalcy during their hospital stay.  Many of these kids are in the hospital for months to years at a time.  People In Crisis United works closely with the child life and palliative care team.  We provide monthly family dinners and art therapy sessions.

For the New Year we are looking forward to starting a pet and music therapy program as well as support groups.  We enjoy granting small day to day wishes and to take those kids healthy enough on field trips.  We rely solely on donations from the community, whether it be monetary donations, items, or volunteer time.
